I have loved movement and fitness for as long as I can remember. I was a fitness and Spin class instructor for over 15 years. I found yoga among the years when I was heavily training for Ironman and running races. It was easy to incorporate as no equipment was needed: only my mind, body and my intentions. Yoga was a great addition (and still is) to the stresses of running and training as it improves my mental focus and helps my body to recover. For me yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion and releasing; connecting mind and body. In my classes I like to combine strength and mobility work in a dynamic, Vinyasa flow style ending with some restorative poses. My hope is that people leave my class feeling peaceful yet empowered.
My plan is to continue to learn and grow and take courses and trainings. I believe Yoga is a never ending journey. I am so thankful to have found Peterborough Yoga Wellness Centre.
