Welcome to Peterborough Yoga Wellness Centre! We are a female founded, locally run studio that values community, connection, sustainability, accessibility, inclusivity, and the enjoyment of life — and this is our blog! We will be using this space to share our thoughts and tips for yoga, wellness, and lifestyle. At Peterborough Yoga Wellness Centre we offer yoga & Qi-Gong classes, specialty workshops, events, and trainings both in person and online, and strive to make you feel at home wherever you roll out your mat. Our goal is to support your health and well-being by providing world-class mindful movement instruction and access to indoor, outdoor, and virtual spaces that are safe, clean, environmentally conscious, and inclusive places for you to connect with your mindful practice, our vibrant local community, and ultimately to yourself.
Peterborough Yoga Wellness Centre is co-owned and operated by Kierstin Henrickson and Amanda Scouller and has a 10 year history bringing yoga, mindful movement, and community connection to Peterborough.
Originally operating separately as Moksha Yoga Peterborough, and Hot Yoga Peterborough, the two beloved studios combined in 2019 to create Peterborough Yoga Wellness Center located in the beautiful village of East City Peterborough.
During the pandemic of 2020, the studio evolved once more as we were all presented with an opportunity to take a close look at our lives and prioritize what really mattered to us. As a result, Amanda stepped up to be co-owner, infusing a new energy and light into an already thriving studio.
2020 also saw Peterborough Yoga Wellness Centre expand beyond a physical space into the online world with live streamed and recorded classes, and an active social media community.
Through all of our changes and growth spurts, our core has always remained the same: a dedication to sharing the ancient practice of yoga, and a commitment to supporting and fostering a sense of mindfulness and peace in our community when there is so much uncertainty around us.
Through all of our offerings, we want to keep you moving and nurture your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and make you feel accepted, in a healing environment wherever you are in your journey. Whether you are experiencing pain, recovering from injury, a newbie, or an experienced practitioner, Peterborough Yoga has a home for you.
